Template:Story
Appearance
Template:Story holds newspaper metadata for the Sea Times worker. The worker reads these parameters from wikitext; it does not infer them from the article.
Paste the block at the very top of a story page, before the first image or paragraph.

- standfirst
- One or two sentences, 10–60 words (aim 20–35). This becomes the WordPress excerpt.
- section
- Exactly one of:
Planning,Council,Environment,Community,Business,Opinion. - kicker
- Short label above the headline, e.g.
Waste contract. - hero
- Wiki file title, e.g.
File:Crystal jelly.jpg. Must match the inline image on the page. - hero_caption, hero_credit, hero_licence, hero_source
- Attribution. If licence is missing here and in the file's Commons metadata, the story stays a WordPress draft. That is a legal requirement.
- byline
- Who produced the piece, e.g.
AI-assisted, Brightlingsea Local Wiki. - tags
- Comma-separated, e.g.
jellyfish, marine, climate. - embargo
- Optional ISO 8601. The story stays out of the editor queue until this time is in the past.
- sensitive
yesorno.yesadds an extended editorial checklist in WordPress. It does not hide the page on the wiki.
Readers see only kicker, standfirst, section and byline, as a thin rule under the title. Everything else is for the worker.
Do not substitute another template name. The worker looks for
